Some
Questions Tiger Parents Often Ask:
Where Can I Get The Uniform
and What to Buy?
The scout
shop in Woburn is the best place, There is a sporting goods store in
Maynard that has some of this stuff but we’ve never been there and have
been told they get sold out quickly. You should call the Scout
Shop (below) as well before going.
It is NOT
mandatory to have the uniform for the first meeting next Monday, but it
is fun and part of the process. When you go, just let them know you are
in the Minuteman
council and with Pack 135
and they will know what patches to get – for simplicity we do not use
“Den patches”. At a minimum Tigers should have the shirt and the belt
(the pants are not cheap for fast growing kids – think EBay or any dark
blue would work (I copied her just in case…). We do not use the caps as
they end up as “lost Frisbees” in short order.
The Pack
supplies the Tiger cub immediate recognition badge and beads,
neckerchief and books and any awards earned during the year, (as well as
the rockets/pinewood derby kits and etc.)

On our web
site are few links including this one:

How long are the Pack Meetings?
One hour from 7:00 to 8:00.
We also try to schedule them on day before an early release so if your
child is tired the next day it is a short one.
As a new leader/parent what
kind of activities/resources have worked in the past?
Cub Scouts has TONS of literature,
programs, helps, books, materials, ideas and etc. Other web sites,
from other packs are crammed with great stuff. If you can't find it,
you didn't look :-). Below are a few ideas from past years, as you get
others, please send them on:

COA welcome Scouts to provide favors, decorations or whatever for
the COA Holiday Luncheons. Thanksgiving, X-Mass, Valentines day,
various other coffees etc. are available for Scouts to do something.
They really prefer that whatever is done be something that the
seniors can take home. This could be something edible - if a cooking
requirement needs to be filled or a tree decoration/favor etc.. So
contact Angela and propose anything. There is also a big room
available at the senior housing,

select a town in MA and learn about the flag. While on the tour in
the Hall of Flags have each scout find his flag and tell the group
